According to this article on Northwest Public Radio (nwpr.org), Seattle Tops Real Estate Market For Price Increases, the Pacific Northwest continues to outpace the rest of the country in price appreciation. Seattle tops the list, with the average home appreciating an average of $48,000 over the past year, all while the number of homes available for sale has dropped 23.6% from where we were at in 2016. Cities like Bellingham and Salem have experienced 10% increases while Portland, though still considered a competitive marketplace, has only seen a 6% increase in appreciation.
